After light has been reflected off an object, such as a tree or a book, it still travels in straight lines, but in a new direction. If the light enters our eyes, we see the object. We can see things such as books and trees because of the light that is reflected off them.

The light source that you have such as a torch bounces off an

object in front of it ito our eyes.But if you only have a light

source and no object in front of it then the light goes straight into your eyes.
