Should Jim escape from the workhouse?

I think Jim should try to escape because the conditions in the workhouse is terrible

and the care that the employees give is really selfish. Jim and his friend -Tip- need to attempt to run away because Joseph -a previous person mentioned- ended up as a underdeveloped human being who doesn't even know what a river is. Also, schooling at that place is mean and unpleasant as the schoolmasters can whip you or do anything really they want to do to you for absolutely nothing! Lastly, Jim should leave because of the food, where they sleep and how you socialise, sadly, you can't socialise as you have to be quiet and the food you eat, doesn't count as food really, and last, the beds you sleep in must be very uncomfortable as they are literally boxes.
