The World of Macaroons

Chatting endlessly, the children climbed excitedly up the magical tree. "Tell Moon Face that we are going to the land of macaroons and ask if he and silky want to come,” said Joe.They knocked on Silky’s door…

Moon Face was at Silky's house too. Silky looked surprised to see them, “Hello,” she said “just in time the pop cakes have just gone in the oven.” Beth eagerly asked if they wanted to go to the land of macaroons.Moon face replied “Oh yes Silky are you coming too?”

“I wouldn't miss it for the world,” replied Silky.

Forgetting all about the pop cakes, the group made their way to the top of the wonderful tree. Frannie was the first person to climb up the creaky old ladder.

She saw an extraordinary site, there were hundreds of malty coloured macaroons, with creamy soft oozing fillings. The others clambered up and stared with astonishment yes it really was quite peculiar .There were little people made out of cocktail sticks with macaroon heads! One little bloke waved, Silky waved back politely. The children started to realize that the folk were eating each other. They hastily ran towards a shady tree hoping not to get noticed.

Suddenly all the folk began to hide into all the crooks and cracks. There was nothing left but them and the macaroons. Something was coming. “Something very dark and evil, it was the TERROR OF HELL...THE GIANT, EVIL MACAROON!

The children tried to find somewhere to hide, but all the people were in the hiding places. They ran frantically around but it was too late. The terror had seen them it was too late. They were doomed.

The terrifying creature was as black as the of night it towered over the poor group. Dribbling with hunger, was it going to eat them? thought terrified Joe. Just then an idea struck him. They had packed the lovely sandwiches that mother had made them.Joe threw one at him; it just made him angry “I don’t think he likes egg and cress!” cried Moon face.

Just then the monster macaroon shape shifted into a harmless little macaroon “Don’t go near it Fannie,”shouted Joe, but it was too late Fannie loved cute things. Fannie got sucked into the creature Joe got so angry with the beast that he …

Started to call the other folk out to have the most rough macaroon fight on earth. They picked the macaroons up at the monstrous macaroon, the children and folk started laughing their heads off. Moon face exclaimed “Of course seeing happiness kills the terror of hell.”

The terror started to burn like acid until there there was nothing left but Frannie who was scared out her skin. “It’s all right,” comforted Beth “He’s gone.”

“We should be getting back now,” Joe said “I need a warm bath!" When they got back all the pop cakes were burned I wonder how that happened!
