VIKING SHIPS

Vikings loved to battle everywhere they went they carried weapons. The Vikings built fast for war and battle one Viking ship can sail up to about 18 km and also one long ship can carry up to 200 men.

HOW THE SHIPS WERE BUILT

The Viking boats were built for: speed,travelling and trading. There boats were 100 feet wide and 20 feet long. The Vikings cut long planks of wood for the sides, and shorter pieces for the rib. They used scrapers to make the planks the planks were made out of oak trees and also a oak tree was cut to make the keel.

CONCLUSION

Without their long-ships they wouldn't be successful as they are now also when rowing Vikings sat on wooden boxes with their belongs in them.
