BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Every year, Americans recognize February as Black History Month. The month is dedicated to recognizing the achievements of African Americans and celebrating the role they have played in the history of the United States. The story of black history month began in 1915.

The most important black person in history is Martin Luther King who always said "I have a dream" and his dream was fore white and black people to have the same rights. Another person who fought like Martin Luther King was Rosa Parks who was labelled as the "Mother of the Freedom Movement".

Since 1976, every American President has designated February as Black History Month and he gives it a new theme every year. The Black History Month 2021 theme is "Black Family: Representation, Identity and Diversity"
