Planes ware soaring through the sky,

Bombs would drop as they fly,

the fire spreads like a disease,

smoke runs through the broken trees.

The U-boats sunk the British boats filled with food,

Leaving them in a hungry mood,

The food rationing meant a limited supply,

The poor people felt like they were going to die.
