The issue we are discussing, is whether to build a new and extensive housing estate near the River Towy. I think that more houses need to be built because there are more families coming into Carmarthen so we need to build more.
Firstly people are forced to stay in crowded houses so the reason of these houses is for families to live.These homes will provide warmth and a place to sleep.And keep them warm in the winter.
Another reason is that it will give people some jobs in shops,schools and all construction workers and designers which will give them more money to keep the houses and pay for electric,gas and water bills.They can spend some money on restaurants for food and supermarkets.
Moreover if the River Towy floods some of the houses won't be affected because they are further back but if it does happen we can raise the banks with steel sheets and beams because it stops the water from going into the houses.
These facts show that we need to build more homes for homeless people or people that have come from somewhere else.
