IIPOEMSII

Poems are a great way to express yourself and show your opinion. Some poems rhyme andothers don't. Some poems are longer than others. I like poems with amoral/meaning because

I think everything we do and say has a meaning. I'll be showing a poem by Dr. Suess on this blog. Dr. Suess had many poems of encouragement to be what you liked when you are older. They also inspired people to read a lot and learn from the books you read. Here are some more info on Dr. Suess before I review the poem:

Name: Theodor Suess Giesel

Date of Birth: 1904, March 2

Place of Birth: Springfield, Massahcusetts

Now finally for the poem

'You have brains in your head.

You have feet in your shoes

You can steer yourself in any direction you choose

Your on your own

And you know what you know

You are the guy who'll decide where you'll go'

I think this poem is about how no one but you can tell you what you can and can't do. It talks in 2nd person rather than 1st or 3rd. It uses repetition by using the word 'you' a lot. It rhymes as 'Shoes and Choose' rhyme and so does 'Know and Go'. It is short but has a clear message. Your life is like a car only you can steer it and you must keep it that way for you to do amazing things.
