What they look like!

They have two eyes,a shell on its back for protection, and rough skin that's waterproof.

They also have fins to help them swim easily. They are slimline in shape to

help them move through the water. They have strong fins to help them dig large holes in the sand so they are able to lay their eggs.

What do they eat?

They eat sea grass,fish,prawns and jellyfish.

It lives in the sea and likes warm weather. It is

also found in other water sources.

Turtles can be found in Lagoons, Shallow coastal waters

and esturies. The males never leave the ocean, only the

females do to lay their eggs.

Conservation

There are many threats to the sea turtle and

lots we can all do to help.Don't litter and always

put your rubbish in a bin. Recycle when you can!!

Use special fishing nets so the turtles don't get

trapped inside, and keep the beaches clean and

tidy so the females can lay their eggs.

Did you know? some species of sea turtles can live up

to 100 years old!!!!
