Kayla's POV

TODAY IS FINALLY THE DAY THAT MY HOGWARTS LETTER COMES! Last night had seemed to drag on for eternity.   I bounced like a ball out of my bed, prepared myself for breakfast and hurried down to breakfast to check the owl post. I didn't have an owl of my own yet, but I had seen our family owl fly through an open window in his usual breakfast routine. My heart began to beat like a drum, I was cartwheeling across our hall in pure joy. MY HOGWARTS LETTER HAD FINALLY COME!!! I was giddy with the sight of Coco (the owl) carrying two letters, I presumed one of them was for me, and the other for Draco. I could see the Hogwarts letter in her claws.... IT WAS HERE! The moment I had been waiting for nearly all my life had FINALLY arrived!!! My jaw dropped as I saw the embellished wax seal, the parchment coloured envelope, and I felt so thrilled knowing that pretty much my entire future as a student was written in that letter! I knew that Draco was equally as animated as I was, he wasn't showing it as much as I was though, he was only waiting excitedly to open the letter. Although I was very hyper at the sight of my letter, I opened it slowly, wanting to savour the memory forever, to remember this special moment in my heart as long as I possibly could. I read this;

Dear Miss Kayla Malfoy,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. 

Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.Term begins on September 1. We await your owl no later than July 31.

I was so ridiculously excited, I just couldn't contain it! I hurried upstairs, changed, and grabbed around a hundred galleons (not THAT much for me, just a fair amount) and slid down our stairs. "I AM READY LETS GO NOOWWW! I screamed at the stairs. Draco walked in behind me, and he looked at me like I'd gone nuts! ''Kayla, you know that you're not going to Diagon Alley, right?" WAIT, WHAT! My brain fizzed like it was on fire with my instant rage.Then I saw his cheeky smirk and I realised he was joking. ''Don't do that again! It felt like I was going to have a heart attack!

''Ok, ok, sorry, your reaction was so funny though!!''

''GET READY! YOU'RE NOT EVEN DRESSED YET!!!''

I heard him sniggering, and right now I want to punch that little slimeball in the face, how could he not understand that I wanted to go to Diagon Alley?!? ''GET READY!'' I screamed again.

''Alright, alright! Calm down Miss Impatient!''

''GO GET READY ALREADY!''''Ok,'' Draco sighed, and ran for his life, as I began yelling at him to go faster. He came down in five minutes, rushing, his composure not as refined as usual, but an enormous grin on his face. ''How did I do for time?'' he asked jokingly. ''Very slow! You have to be A LOT faster next time!'' I replied sarcastically, grinning as well. We travelled by Floo Powder, and it felt like my head was spinning, but just when I thought I would explode, I appeared at another fireplace, in Diagon Alley I presumed. I nearly fell over but Mother caught me just in time, ''Thanks.''

I then shut my eyes, telling Draco to guide me so it would be a surprise, Mother tapped a few bricks (I think they were bricks, judging by the sound of it) and then Draco told me to open my eyes. ''Welcome to Diagon Alley!'' Mother exclaimed, ''I remember seeing it for the first time as well, isn't it lovely, Kay, Draco?' I saw an AMAZING sight, every window was bright and colourful, with advertisements of all sorts. One that particularly amazed me was Florean Fortescue's ice cream Parlour, apparently, there were all sorts of flavours, liquorice, jelly and even cheese! I was pretty excited to see them and taste them. Then I looked further down the vibrant street, it ended with a hairpin turn, and I could just about see beyond it, it looked very dark and dangerous, nothing like the bubbly street we were in. The signpost leading there said, Knockturn Alley. I didn't want to go there, I'm pretty sure my brother didn't want to either, although he was definitely trying to hide it. I could always read him like an open
