The things that Abasi's family are worried about are :
- Dirty water (that is the only water they have),
- Getting sick (like diarrhea),
-Not enough money (can't pay for Abasi's brother to go to school),
-Bad food (food does not grow well on Abasi's father's farm).
When Abasi's mother is not well, Abasi's sister has to go and fetch the water 7 miles away in a river, until Abasi's mother is better . Sometimes Abasi has to go and work at the farm so therefore misses school.
It would be hard to be Abasi because he some times has to go to the market to go and sell food from the farm by him self. The other reason it would be hard to be Abasi is because it is hard to sell food that is not properly grown. It is not properly grown because Abasi's father has to give it the dirty water Abasi's mother brings back every day. It would also be hard to be Abasi's sister because when she has to go and get the water it is so heavy it takes her nearly all day. Abasi's family are very grateful that Abasi's brother is still alive because they are so poor they can not afford medicine and when Abasi's brother was a baby he used to get very sick. They are also grateful because most children in Abasi's village died before the age of 5 (that is the age of Abasi's brother) .
