Transition to Year 6

Year 6 will be a whole new level of learning and everything. You need to be prepared for everything new that is going to come in Year 6. This blog is all about what you should be prepared for.

First of all, you need to know all of the duties. You can be Head Boy/Girl, Deputy Head Boy/Girl. Other important duties are being House Captain and School Council. If you are one of these duties, you will have a very important role in the school.

Secondly, you need to get ready for harder learning and complex tests - especially S.A.T.S. The things you will learn will either be a revision of what you have done in your year and completely new and more difficult lessons.

Thirdly, you need to get ready to have more responsibilities and to be a good role model. As the oldest children in the school, you need to show the younger people how to behave and act. People in Year 6 have different jobs to do and they are really important.

Finally, you should think about our class values. You should think about why and how you can act them out.

Over all, I am telling you to prepare yourself for the different challenges in Year 6.

Good luck!
