THE MAGICAL PLANT

Once there was a magical plant. If you had any illness or anything you needed or wished for this plant would give it to you. If you wished you were a movie star when you grow up, you would be! If you want a cold to go away it will! This plant can do anything! But obviously as it is so powerful you can't just go to Sainbury's and buy one. They could only be found faraway in the deepest depths of the jungle next to the fastest flowing river in the world (which you have to cross). Only one person in the world has ever found one and that was 500 years ago. The other thing about it is that...the plant can only be found if it wants to be found.

One day a young woman called Olivia (who lived in Newcastle and was the champion gymnast in her city) heard about the plant and immediately wanted to find it. That was because her mother was suffering from a bad cancer. She thought 'if I wish for it to disappear then I don't see why it wouldn't'. It was her one wish and it always had been.

Olivia was determined she would at least try so she jumped on a plane to the island where the plant was to be found and hired a jeep. Before long the jungle was to dense to drive so she started on foot. Very soon she spotted her first obstacle, however, she knew there would be a couple of obstacles so she wasn't too shocked. It wasn't any ordinary obstacle though, it was...a floor filled with snakes. Thats when her gymnast skills came in handy. She jumped on a tree then on another and one more and she was past! After that, she walked for another 4 hours and then she saw it...THE MAGICAL PLANT!!! Obviously you couldn't just go and grab it. You had to get across the fastest flowing river ever! She observes the river and sees there are wooden planks coming every 5 seconds. However, they were coming faster than a racing car! She jumps on one, then another, then another...then she was standing right in-front of it...THE MAGICAL PLANT. She picked it and made her wish then threw it back into the river.

The next week as she was arriving home she had butterflies in her stomach. She rang the doorbell and waited anxiously. When the door swung open all off those nerves were gone in a finger click as she was welcomed with the biggest smile she had ever seen. Her mum was looking healthier then ever!
