My Memory Box

I will put in the box

the sparkling sand from salou beach,

the first laugh from my baby cousin,

the shimmer from my aunties wedding dress.

I will put in the box

a sparkling diamond from my bridesmaid shoes,

the butterflies in my tummy while riding my first

roller coaster ride,

the first cry from my baby cousin.

I will put in the box

the blowing breeze from the woods,

a sunbeam from three cliffs bay.

My box is fashioned from shimmering diamonds,

gold hinges with pearls on top and shells in corners.

I shall travel back through time in my box,

walking down the aisle with the beautiful

bride behind .
