St. George's v Norbury

On the Wednesday 27th January St. George's boys football team played Norbury school on the junior fields. The squad consisted of 10 players from all the year six classes, (Frankie, John, Santiago, Luke, Bobby, Aston, Patryk, Thomas and Charlie).

It was a very confusing for the football team because we were supposed to play at John Lyon playing fields, but we had to change our plans and play on our field. But, that did not effect how we played. The score was extremely high continuing on from the last result. 8-0 was the final score. The goals came from Aston with three goals, Charlie with one, Luke with one, Bobby with one, Declan with one, and Santiago with a goal. Every player apart from Frankie and John have scored this season. The man of the match of the game was Aston because when he was a substitute, he took on the manager's role and gave the team commands. As a captain that is extremely important because you need to be a leader on and off the pitch and represent your school well. Mr. Willis was elated with our previous results and hopes we can continue in winning ways.
