Should rude words in books be changed ?

Words such us fat and ugly appear a lot in books by Roald Dahl. Puffin - a publishing company -have been changing these words which is causing upset to fans of the books. Most people think that the words why is should not be changed as this is how the author wrote it. This must be for a reason. Roald Dahl like to describe his characters in a immense detail which is what makes his books interesting and funny to read. If the books stay like this children will read them and find out what they mean.

You might think that times are changing and so is language but it is very important to know these words so you never use them against someone in a rude and upsetting way.
