Wind turbines, good or bad?

In this discussion we will have a counteracting, but equal talk about the bulky structures that are starting to roam over fields and farmlands all over the country. They are known as wind turbines that produce renewable energy to power our homes, but what do YOU think as an opinion? This piece of writing will give you a range of facts that will help you decide, read on...

Here are a few points for wind turbines. Wind turbines only require a small amount of wind to operate fully. After that the wind is turned into renewable energy to power homes and houses. In Wales, we are very fortunate as we have a free form of this energy caused by the massive amount of hills we have. Also, wind turbines generate renewable energy that is clean and green energy because they don't create greenhouse gases which pollute the environment and the world we live in! Therefore, they are producing very green energy. When you set up wind turbines they are very cheap to run at home or on a farm.

However, some people think that wind turbines are bad because wind turbines can be a threat to wildlife because the rotating blades catch and harm birds and bats. Also, trees and plants might have to be cut down so to have space for the wind turbines. Renewable energy cannot be stored, therefore lots and lots of energy that the wind turbines create get's wasted. Many people say and think that wind turbines look ugly and unsightly because they are very huge, hideous and bulky, as well as that they generate noise that can annoy and disturb many people when they are doing activities. Consequently, the noise they generate are highly annoying and they can disturb television aerials because they make a loud, constant and irritating swishing, humming noise.

In my opinion wind turbines are good because they create renewable energy to power our homes and because they don't generate greenhouse gases that pollute the environment and the world we live in.
