Plants

Why do we need plants?

We need plants because the pollen of the flower makes honey and it makes new seedlings.

Another reason we need plants because is because the leaves of the trees make oxgen for us to breath.

The outside of a flower

A flower has very important parts like leaves, roots, petals, stem and the pollen.

The function of the petals are to attracts the insects and birds to collect pollen and spread to make seedling. The roots function is to absorb water from the soil it has little hairs to protect them. The leaves function is to produces food for the flower. The stem function is to transport the water from the roots and transport it to the flower head.

Disect a flower

You might think the flower head its just yellow and fuzzy but there is much more inside it.

Inside there is a stigma the sigmas function is to catch the pollen and the pollen comes out of the anther and

lands onto the stigma.the ovary function is to make eggs.

Pollention and fertillization

As normal a bees, insects and birds go to a flower and get a liquid called nectar. When a bee is collecting the nectar the pollen goes on their body that's pollination. After the bee gets hungry again its goes to another flower and gets nectar . It rubs its body on the flower and the pollen goes onto the the stigma then goes into the stamen and then goes to the ovary and it makes a new seed .The seed drops out of the flower and after a year it has fully grown. That is fertilization. It's the same with the birds and other insects.
