Please find the suggested activities for home learning for this week:
ENGLISH
READING
Please continue to read daily with your child using their school readers, home books or an online platform such as Get Epic www.getepic.com or Oxford Owl www.oxfordowl.co.uk (Choose the stage your child is reading at and then choose the titles to read.) You will be able to
access a wide selection of ebooks to support your child.
Complete a missing word 'Sun Safety' worksheet. Read the sentences and
choose the missing words. You may want to read the powerpoint on 'Keeping Safe
in the Sun.'
We will once again be working on fluency and performing our reading
in the live meetings this week.
WRITING
Listen to the story 'Paddington at the Palace' by clicking on the link.
I would like you to make a list of the places you could visit in London.
Write a thank you letter to Mr Gruber imagining you are Paddington
and you want to say thank you for showing you the sights of London.
Link your ideas to the text in the story.
Write a description of Paddington Bear. Colour him carefully.
Play the games on BBC Bitesize 'Small Town Superheroes.'
