The cool running river,

Flowing freely without a care in the world.

Shiny slippery stones covered in water,

Small fish flapping in the river.

Up above the sun is beating down like a drum,

Rocks as sharp as kitchen knives.

By the river bank the tree is a

parasol shading the water.

In the air the eagle is a fighter jet.

Whole Class Shared Writing - River Shape Poem

The river ripples are hitting the bank as quick as a cheetah,

Down below the fish are submarines in the rough rocky river.

From the shallow source to the massive mouth,

The wavy water flew to the salty sandy sea.
