Little Earth

Little earth down there

My hair flying every where

Water bubbles down my throat

Drifting slowly like a boat

Sleeping on the wall

I feel so tall

Up here

Space is so clear

Space station

As you float in space

you feel as light as a feather

when you float in spaces

You could float upside down and you

would never know

if you where up straight

Mars is red as lava

Uranus is as blue as the sea

The galaxy

Space station

As you float in space

you feel as light as a feather

when you float in space

You could float upside down and you

would never know

if you were up straight

Mars is red as lava

Uranus is as blue as the sea

Floating floating

past the stars,

Neptune as round as a football,

Why is the sun so hot?

Why is mars red?

The galaxy

Stars shining so brightly

The moon glowing from the sun's light

Discovering new planets

going in craters

The sun so hot

but from earth is a dot

Going up to space the black sky in your face

Floating floating floating

this way and that

Neptune is cold and misty

As a snowy winter's day

sleeping on the floor

sleeping on the walls

looking for the door

I'm floating like a star

Eating a energy bar

Looking down at something round

Turning my spaceship around

The Sun as bright as a diamond

The Moon smiling down at me

Me eating a frozen pea

Wondering to myself where's that rocket door

Finding my stuff scattered on the floor

Floating in space with light blowing

in your face

And me yawn, yawn, yawn

After that long adventure

Rocket

Finally, we have a few more poems for you from Year 5. They are all based on our Space topic. We have spent the week learning about poetry techniques.
