MICROSOCIETY
In year 5 we have been learning a little bit about microsociety. For our first week, my teacher told us a little bit about this story called Just Enough.It was about where everyone had enough food and resources to live. They got them from planet earth.Trees grew there and food grew from those trees.One dah, the trees got sick and there were only little food in the dipensers. Everone was saying that they should get the remaining food.That was when myteacher stopped reading.
The activity we were told make and cut out square with 10cm sides and a circle which has a diameter of 10cm. We had to be 100% accurate! The square was worth five points and the circle was worth 10 points. A counter was also worth 5 points. It was to see who got the most points. We got packs and we only had ten minutes to get as many points as possible. When the timer started, we opened the pack.We got loads of paper, a 30cm ruler,two pencils and one counter. It was quiet hard, so we handed our counter. I saw the point table and one table was already ad over 15 points. We only had 5. Our table was going very slow. We needed more pencils, and someone on our table just gave us all of her pencils! The teacher saw and then we were disqualified!!!!!!! It was very annoying. After the ten minutes we all stopped.
Miss Bond - our teacher- had never seen any class who didn't trade with anyone. She'd thought that we'd trade but we didn't.
That's what happened on the firs week of microsociety.
