What is Classification?

Classification is the sorting of animals into groups. The animals are sorted into the groups that they are in by similar things. Mammals are warm blooded, born not in an egg, are fed milk from their mom. Amphibians can absorb water through the skin, breathe air and need a moist environment to survive. Fish live under water and have a backbone. Reptiles breathe air and have scales and birds all have wings and feathers but not all can fly.
