Robert Falcon Scott

His profession was a British Naval Officer. His birth was on 6th June 1868 in Plymouth. He died on 29th March 1912 in Ross Ice Shelf, Antarctic. Did you know that he married his wife - Kathleen Scott - when he was approximately 40 years old; he was with his spouse for only 4 or 5 years (until he died)! His only child was a boy called Peter Scott.

He led two expeditions to the Antarctica Regions: the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) and Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913). On the first expedition, he set a new southern record by marching to latitude 82 degrees South. His books that he wrote are the following: Scott's Last Expedition, Race to the South Pole and many more books; he did a movie called The Great White Silence.
