`The Mutation

The animals had got worse. The mutation had now spread to all of the animals. People had reported that the birds were growing and evolving. But, that report had been three years ago. Now it was just me and my family. We didn't  know if anyone else was alive. Wait, I heard something, It sounded like a bird. I saw something diving towards us. As it flew towards us I couldn't see what it was. Then, I warned my family and then we all huddled together then, there was silence. We thought they went but, then they came charging through the roof.
