Rudolph

Rudolph was a little shy reindeer.  He did not have many friends because of his bright red nose. Every day Rudolph would go play with the other reindeer but they would always tease him or call him names. They never let poor Rudolph play with them. The only reindeer that loved him were his parents.

Poor Rudolph felt horrible! It was like he was being stabbed in the back.

The reindeer' mean words stuck in his mind. At night he couldn`t sleep because the mean words always echoed in his brain. The only thing that made Rudolph comfortable was staying near his parents or being safe at home. The one thing Rudolph liked about Christmas was when he put up his stocking.

One Christmas Eve it was foggy and Santa couldn`t see very well neither did his reindeer. They kept crashing into trees, rooftops and they nearly missed a plane. Santa was worried he was wasting precious time. He did not know how he was going to deliver all those gifts in time. When Santa arrived at Rudolph's house he saw a strong red light coming out of one of the rooms. It was Rudolph’s room. Santa had a fantastic idea. He told Rudolph if he wanted to join the others to deliver the presents that night, not as a normal reindeer but will be their guide light. Rudolph felt important and accepted Santa’s request. He left a note to his parents and off he went on his important mission. Thanks to Rudolph the gifts were delivered on time.

Santa publicly praised Rudolph for a job well done and promoted him as the leader of his troop. The other reindeer were now nice to him because they realized how special his nose really was. Rudolph blushed because he still remained the cute shy reindeer he had always been and made everyone love him in the end.
