Marchants Hill

PGL

From the 11th March - 16th March, Year 6 went on a school trip to Marchants Hill. Everyone enjoyed it so much and would love to go there again.

Personally, I thought that the giant swing was the best. At first sight, I couldn't wait to try it. However, when it eventually did come to our go, my nerves tingled at the sight of it. Luckily, we had to put on our harnesses before we faced the swing. however, the harnesses were the most uncomfortable things I had ever wore. After we had fastened our harnesses, we had to get in to pairs, and then an order of turns. I was going to go first ( YES!!!!!!! ) with Edward. As we were first, we were used as demonstrators on how we would be attached to the swing. After we were attached, we were told to sit in our harnesses. The wedgies they gave you were painful. The worst part - if you ask me - was the journey upwards. As they pulled us up, the anticipation was immense. Finally, we reached the top, the sound of the password (muffin) drifted up to us. Nervously, I peered down. I immediately wished I hadn't. We were around 10 metres high. Cautiously, I reached back to the rope that would release the swing. Plucking up my courage, I pulled the rope...

My stomach lurched as we plunged towards the ground. Swinging back upwards, I hooted with laughter. It was so much more fun that I realised it would be.
