753 BC- The city of Rome was found. Legend has it that twins of Mars founded the City. But sadly Romulus killed his brother and named the city after him self.

509 BC-Rome became a republic. The last king was overthrown and Rome is now ruled by elected officials called Senators.

218 BC - Hannibal invaded Italy. Hannibal leaded the Carthage army im his famous crossing of the Alps.

73 BC- Spartacus the gladiator leads the slaves in an uprising.

44 BC- Julius Caesar is assassinated on the ides of March by Marcus Brutus .

27 BC- Julius became the first emperor of the Roman empire for Rome.

64 BC- Much of Rome burns.

80 AD- The colosseum was built.
