SYNAGOGUE

Today we went to the Wimbledon District Synagogue for

a school trip.

luckily on the way there we didn't

have much rain

it was only

spitting a bit.

Before we went in ,our

tour guide (rose) told us

a bit about the Synagogue before we went in ,

but she also said there were some clues

outside that made it a Synagogue. first a

special door step , 2 a sign.

when we went inside we put are coats away then are second tour guide appeared (Caroline) she told us

before going into the main area the boys had to wear a special hat called a Kippah (the girl could if they

wanted to).Rose told is to take a seat in a comfy chair so she could tell us bit more about Jewish people.

Caroline and rose taught us some Hebrew words ,how to unwrap the torch scrolls, who wrights the torch

scrolls , everything you use has to be natural and the difference between Christians and Jewish. After that

they put us into two different groups , my group went with Caroline and we looked at what they ate on a

Friday night , two special thing they eat a type of sweat bread and wine (and grape juice for kids). We

then went to rose and studied on the scroll , she told us that people he wrote the scroll couldn't make any
