Jane Eyre

In this blog, we are going to be discussing Jane Eyre. It is a very old-fashioned book, and includes a lot of long and slightly unrecognisable words.

Written in the 1800s, it was finally published on the 16th of October, 1847. Currer Bell was the pen name of the mysteriously anonymous author, also known as Charlotte Bronte It used to be one of the most popular books in the world. However, these days it is sadly forgotten by most.

The main story is about a young girl conviniently named Jane Eyre. It is an autobiography and quite a romance novel. A bit of comedy is also included, but is sometimes hard to find. Overall, it is a romantic, funny and tragic story, rolled into one big package.

Finally, my review. Out of ten, I would give it an eight. I extremely enjoyed the mystery of Thornfield Hall and was especially intrigued by the secret in the attic. Nevertheless, it was slightly tedious in other sections, and could be improved. I would, at the end of the day, recommend it to all enthusiastic readers.
