Oracy Project- My Favourite place

In Year 1 we are working on improving the children's oracy skills and encouraging them to speak in front of small groups and the whole class with confidence.

We would like the children to put together a small oracy project about their favourite place. It only needs to be a few minutes long. Over the next week could you put together some notes, photos, pictures or diagrams to help you present to the rest of the class

Unfortunately you cannot bring any paper copies into school at the moment but you can use hwb and J25 or you can send a photo on Dojo to your teachers.

We will be listening to a few a day throughout the week commencing 30th November so if they could be completed by this date

What we are looking for:

• Where is your favourite place?
• Why is it your favourite place?
• Facts about your favourite place
• Who you like to go there with.

What we will be looking for:

• Speaking clearly with confidence
• Giving reasons and explain your choices
• Using range of vocabulary
• Showing good listening skills (when listening to peers)

Please can I stress this is nothing to worry about, it is something enjoyable to share with your friends and teachers :-)
