We have had a great learning about the traditional tale 'The Three Little Pigs' this week. The children were very excited by the role play and they throughly enjoyed being the Big Bad Wolf! Constructing buildings that were strong enough to withstand the huffs and puffs of the big bad wolf were planned and tested to the full. We used each construction kit that we have in Foundation as well as using sticks, playdough and shredded paper to build a house for the pigs. We even used cardboard boxes and recreated the three houses that can be found in the story, these also helped us to role play the story outside. The children discussed what would be sensible for the pigs to pack in their suitcase as well as making savoury sausage rolls (with vegetarian versions available). The children were amazed at the change in the volume of the pastry once baked - and were pleased at the size of the end product. What a super week, well done!
