THE LOST RING

On a Sunday morning it was a sunny day. Kati went to wash her and her husband's clothes in the river. The river was close to their house. They did not have a washing machine.

When she was washing the clothes she lost her wedding ring. It was a very expensive ring. She was really sad. A big fish came by, saw the ring and swallowed it.

The next day Hans went fishing at the same river. He caught a big fish. He was really excited and eager to show it to his wife.

Kati prepared grilled fish, roasted potatoes and

vegetables. They started to eat and when Kati cut the fish she found a ring. She couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the ring. It was her wedding ring! She was very happy with this surprise.
