Micro-society

Last Thursday in Peake class we starrted our micro-society topic. Lots of people were looking forward to this topic because we had not heard mutch about it asside from "You turn your class into a country and sell stuff to other classes"from the year 6. We were intreged to see waht we did in our first lessons and eager to get started.

first we learnt a story about the planet of 'Justenough' and how the robot 'a bun dance' looked after everyone and made sure everyone had just enough

But when 'a bun dance' broke there was chaos.

Everyone was fighting and arguing so the cheif

changed the name of the planet to notenough.

The cheif spoke to 3 people the hiest man up,the professor and an army man. The hiest man up said "We should give uout the nutri-bags by order of importance."

The professor said "By order of inteligence."

But the army man said "Lets fight it out!!!" We disscused what we would do then it was over.

In the next lesson we played a game called the shape game our teacher gave out theese envelopes full of scissors, paper ,compuses and pencils. We were told that a square with the diametre of 10cm is worth 5 points ,a circle with the diametre of 10cm is worth 10 points and a counter is worth 5 points. In our table we got 2 pencils some scissiors a commpas and no paper. Our teacher didn't tell us what to do we needed to work it out ourseves we traded 1 of our pencils for 3 sheets of paper and got started. We didn't know how to use a commopas but we eventualy worked it out. It wasn't about the score it was about learning but I think my team won because we organised ourselves and only traded when it was apsalutely ncessary. I realy enjoyed microsociety and am looking forward to it next week.We have also made flags and decided our country name we are Camozonians!
