We have an exciting and busy week ahead of us. On Tuesday 17 th March, we will be visiting Solihull Library and The Build a Bear Shop in Touchwood. We will be choosing a boy Bear for the Giraffes and a girl Bear for the Tigers. Please discuss with your child possible names for them!We will be voting for our favourite ones.

For the challenge this week we ask that your child brings into school on Monday 16 th March their favourite Teddy Bear. Your child will be asked to share with their family group the name of their Bear, it’s age and why it’s so special to them. The week will begin with the children taking a photograph of their Bear and then they will be either painting or using special sketching pencils to draw them. As part of ‘Science Week’ we will also be making fuzzy, cress head bears and learning about what seeds need to grow.

With Easter just around the corner we wanted to link our Enterprise initiative to baking! We will need your help to take part in our

‘ GREAT FOUNDATION EASTER BAKE OFF!’

In the final week of term we would like you all to bake a cake(s) at home with your child and bring them into school. The cakes must have an Easter theme and all money raised will go towards new resources within the Unit!

Please bring your cakes in on the morning of Tuesday 24 th March. The cakes will be judged by our School Catering Manager and six prizes will be awarded for the most original and creative cakes!

Cakes will go on sale Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the end of the morning and at the end of the school day.

Hopefully we’ll raise lots of funds, so get baking!
