Year 2 Visit to St Teilos Church

On Tuesday 8th October 2014, Year 2, went on a walk to St Teilos Church. During our RE sessions, with Mrs Arnold, we have been looking at special places and talking about why Church is a special place. Rev Padraig, met us in Church and showed us around. Padraig told us about the Church and some of the artefacts around us. We asked lots of questions.

We found out that this is

called the font.

This is the Bible and the vicar reads from this in a service.

St Teilos church is in Portmead and people within our community attend the Church. In St Teilos Church there are no stained glass windows. The Church has a cross to remind us of our religion and why Jesus died on the cross.

This is a flag for the Mother's Union.

We enjoyed our visit to St Teilos
