The children have really enjoyed being creative this week, making seed packets and adding sequins for seeds. The balance scales have been out for the children to investigate and find out which vegetables were the heaviest. The enormous turnip story has been retold using a wide range of props this week, both indoors and outdoors. The children have heard a range of versions of the story and they have been very creative with their own. In number we have used our knowledge of the story to help us with ordinal numbers and we had fun measuring each other to see the differences in size. In our role play we have talked about the importance of sharing and taking it in turns to be first and we have had fun making some lovely Turnip soup!
