Jam Tarts




Ingredients




  • 65g caster sugar
  • 175g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 250g plain flour
  • 24 tbsp jam
  • a dash of water




Instructions




  1. Wash hands.
  2. Preheat oven to 160 degrees and grease tray.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar together.
  4. Add the egg and mix.
  5. Sift the flour to make a dough.
  6. Roll the dough and cut out circles using a cutter.
  7. Press the pastry circles into the greased cups.
  8. Spoon jam into a bowl and add a dash of water and mix.
  9. Spoon jam into some of the unbaked tarts.
  10. Bake for 10minutes.
  11. Leave to cool.
