World
Children’s Day
The World Children’s Day is celebrated every year on the 20th
November. It was first celebrated
in 1954 as Universal Children's Day.
This day is celebrated to promote
awareness among children worldwide
and improving children's welfare.
Everyone can play an important part to make World Children’s
Day relevant for our society. The United Nations General
Assembly recommended that all countries around the world
should set aside a day for this purpose.
Pakistan celebrates on
November 20th too and organizes
special programmes dedicated to
them.
