It was a busy run-up to Christmas and there was a rush of excitement throughout Lapland with all the elves and sugar plumb fairies rushing around doing jobs for Santa. With just one week to go there were too many jobs to do. The elves had to make most of the toys for all the boys and girls and the sugar plumb fairies had to make the sweets and biscuits for the adults. Days have passed and the jobs are still not done so there's only one person who can help. One person and their pet. We just need to find Santa first. "Santa, Santa." All the elves ran off trying to find Santa when finally he showed up at the toy making workshop saying he heard someone calling his name. "Yes all the elves are out looking for you," Sparkle the sugar plumb fairy said." Ho,ho,ho why what's the matter" Santa said. " I think it's something about the toy making machine not working, they wanted your sister Mary," Sparkle continued.

"Mary wonderful Mary," Santa chuckled "I'll see what I can do for you, could you tell the elves for me."

"Of course anything for you Santa!" with a burst of joy Sparkle was off trying to find the elves. With that done Santa went off to his grotto to call Mary. "Mary, Mary" Santa forgot that's not how it works these days after all, he has been doing his job since he was born. He found his phone and gave Mary a ring. " Hi Mary" Santa said joyfully. "oh hi its good to hear your voice again" Mary said in her usual excited voice. The first part of the conversation was normal until Santa said there was a problem with the toy machine. Mary didn't say anything back and in a split second she was standing in the grotto with Santa. Mary was stood there with a cute little fuzz ball of a penguin whose name was Pip and Pip kept on chirping with excitement as he was in the same room as Santa Claus.
