Micro Society Week 1
In Micro Society this week we learned about scarcity(paragraph one), We played a game called the shape game(paragraph two), we discussed 1st, 2nd and 3rd world countries(paragraph three)
we read the story "justenuf" and decided how the captain shoud divide resources(paragraph four) and we decided the society's name.
Scarcity is when you don't have enough resources for your area. Here is a map showing countries and how scarce they are.
No countries are in the ranking 0 - 1. The UK only has a tiny bit of scarcity. Most countries that people live in have a scarcity of 1 - 2. Example: Australia(ish), United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy and Canada etc. So mostly Europe has a low scarcity and some parts of Asia plus the Americas.
We played a game called the shape game where you had to make shapes with the resources you had. If you had made a circle you get ten points. If you made a square you got five points. Each group had a pack. They were labelled A - F (they were are groups). My group's pack had everything we needed but a compass so we couldn't draw circles. Our group didn't trade.
