Meeting a magical raindrop

There was a ten year old boy and his name was Jimmy. He had dark brown eyes and brown hair. He had to stay home because the rain ruined his plans. All he could hear was rain splashing against the window and the loud noises of the thunder. He could see the bright light of the lightning and cars driving into large puddles.

But all of a sudden he saw a colourful raindrop knocking on the window and Jimmy felt surprised and opened the window so that the raindrop could come into his house. He did it so that he could make friends. The raindrop jumped in and introduced itself and then they started a conversation. The boy closed the window and the friendly raindrop jumped on his hand. The raindrop told him that a raindrop can be very lucky or unlucky because it could land on the floor which is very hard or on an umbrella which is very soft.

Then Jimmy asked him if he could tell him how a raindrop forms and the raindrop told him that first the sun heats up the water in rivers, lakes and sea, then when the water gets warm enough, it becomes water vapour. This is called evaporation and then the water vapour is light and it goes up in the sky and then it meets cooler air and when it cools, it condenses and it turns back to droplets.

Then Jimmy went to sleep with the raindrop and when Jimmy fell asleep the raindrop left to go on another adventure.
