In Microsociety, we first chose our country's name. Our name is Rigopolis. our flag also contains stars to represent our actual class name: Rigel. First Mr Woods read us a story about scarcity. That was all we did in our first lesson.

The next lesson, which was on Friday, we were put into teams of five and were named A,B,C,D,E and F. My group was called 'Group A'. The task was to make squares and circles out of our resources. Circles were 10 points, squares were five points and counters were five points as well. The diametre of the circle had to be 10 centimetres long and the length of each square had to be 10cm long. Group A & B had: 2 pairs of scissors, 2 pencils, 1 pair of compossess, a ruler and 5 counters. Group C & D had Similar things to group A & B. Group E & F had: a pencil and 10 peices of paper. We were allowed to trade things in return for another. My group was group A. Most people made squares but I challenged myself to make a circle. I made one that was incorrect but my second was spot on. Group A (my group) had won the competition with an outstanding 60 points. Group B had 5 points, Group C had 15 points, Group D had 20 points, Group E had 5 points and Group F had 15 points. We had an enjoyable session.

I cannot wait until the next lesson. So far, it has been a spectacular experience with elements of life will be like in the future as well as fun activities to aid us have a more clear understanding of Microsociety.
