Year 5 is so lucky to do micro society! It is something to look forward to!

On our first day, we listened to a story called JUSTENUF about a group of people who all relied on a com... Wait a minute! What am I doing? I won't spoil it for you! Wait until you are in year 5 to find out and stop trying to make me tell you because my lips are sealed!

Do you want to learn about what we did?

I will take that as a yes. After listening to the story, we were put into six groups of five. Then, each group was given a folder which all had things in them. Miss Edwards told us that a circle with a diameter of 10 was 10 points, a square with a diameter of 10 both ways is 5 points and depending on how many counters you had that was 5 points. I remember for a fact that my group had a compass (not one which has north, south , east and etc.) One which helps you draw circles, we also had a ruler, a pencil, two scissors and four counters. So far, we had 20 points. As I looked around, I saw that everyone except us had paper. What were we meant to draw on? After a few minutes, someone shouted out "OH, WE CAN TRADE". Suddenly everyone was talking to a friend saying things like "Give you this for this" or "what will you give me for this?" The whole class buzzed with excitement as the teachers watched us like guardians. (Next page)
