Astronaut

I'm floating slowly

I'm in a heavy suit

I'm attached to a long line

Off metal machinery

Floating through a dark

enviroment with white blotches

I am an astronaut,

My suit as white as a star

I'm floating through space

And I have an amazing view of our

planet , the Earth

Earth down below

I am a butterfly in a cacoon

you up high

visiting the moon

sleeping then waking again

going on planets

zooming like a train

floating drifting everywhere

my hair sticking up like it doesn't care

I slept on the ceiling

I slept onthe floor

I slept on the wall

I can float through the door

From floating in mid air to bouncing on the moon

very, very differnt from the normal world today.

from fixing space stations my way this is what

we do up up and away .

so dark as,black as soot just like my foot.

from racing through space to just sitting

there and wondering about the human race.

Space

Floating floating floating floating

I am Floating

Thorough the misty planets racing past the stars

What is that is that I see? Is it the friendly Earth?

Floating

I thought to myself - it couldn't be

It is as small as a football

The space station

I am floating in space

I can see the earth

It is a spinning football

The moon orbiting the earth

which is orbiting the Sun

We have been doing Space Poetry this

week in Year 5. Here are some of our

fantastic poems. Click on the images to
