JUDGED

As I stepped of the boat and looked around

All I heard was a pin drop, not a single sound

Not a welcome nor hello, not a cheerful fellow

The darkness overwhelmed my eyes,

I could barely see the sunrise

I started off going to school

Then children began to be so cruel

Everything seemed to be strange to me

I didn’t understand why people did things so differently

People started abusing me and others because of our skin

I was so confused and was growing incredibly thin

So don’t judge me for my colour

Just remember to respect one another

NO ONE SHOULD BE JUDGED BY THEIR COLOUR!
