Abasi lives in a small village in Africa, there isn't enough water or food to go round the village so Abasi's mother has to walk several miles to get water from the river, unlike us because our water comes from a tap in our houses. The water they have is brown and doesn't taste very nice and give you diarrhea. In Africa diarrhea can kill people, thats why many people don't live past the age of five.

Though Abasi's parents work hard, sometimes they fall ill, at these time Abasi and his siblings have to collect the water for the family and work on the farms looking after the crops and they end up missing school. I'd love to go to Dads work instead of school because I would like to be paid for sitting in boring meetings.

Abasi parents crops don't fair very well because they don't have enough water and any water they do have is dirty. Therefore the family doesn't have enough money from selling the crops. Not having enough money means they can't buy uniforms of books for school so the younger children can't go to school. Furthermore they can't buy medicine so it takes longer to get better, unlike us because we have the NHS which gives us free medicine.

I wouldn't like to be Abasi's brother because they don't have access to running water, free healthcare, TV and computers.
