Marie Curie

Her full name was Marie Sklodowska Curie. She was born on the 7th of November 1867. Marie Curie studied at the University of Paris. Her field was research in radioactivity. She discovered radium and polonium. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first and only person to win twice and the only person to win a prize in two different sciences: physics and chemistry. She died because of exposure to radiation. She was from Poland and named polonium after her native country.
