The issue we are discussing is whether to build a new and extensive housing estate near the River Towy.
I think we should build a new housing estate because some houses are very old, so the new houses will be good looking, and not just that there will be a lot of work for workers such as builders,carpenters,designers so lots of people will find work if we build the housing estate.Also the unemployment figures will go down.
The reason for my thinking this are,firstly, people with no job can easily find work from our small shop that will be built,or a teacher from the new school or even a child minder for the children living in the homes,so this is a good idea because lots lots of people will have better lives, and can provide for their families.
Another reason is there are lots of trees near where we will have to cut some down and keep others but we will replace others by planting other trees.
Moreover trees will not be wasted,they will just be moved to a better place and also a safer place for the wildlife and we will provide homes for the wildlife living in the river.
Also over crowding problems will be solved becasue more houses means less people living in one house,which can get crowded and stressfull.
I also think that if the housing estate is built then Carmarthen will become a popular place to live and will become a tourist attraction then shops,restaurants and hotels will earn lots of money.
These ideas show that building a new housing estate can be very important because Caramarthen will be a well known town all over the country.
