MY NAME IS MINA

'My name is Mina' is the prequel of the book Skellig by David Almond. It tells the story of a girl named Mina. She doesn't quite fit in-anywhere. After failing her SATs she was pulled out of school by her mother and she was then home schooled. The book tells the story of her life, what she believes and thinks about words, silence planning and more.

What I love most about this book is the way it is laid out. It is is set out in such a fun, unique way. A way in which helps you portray the main character better(because it is Mina's diary). It is not your usual book it involves books and stories inside of it too. It is such a unique concept and at first may seem confusing but you will surely get the flow of the book deeper into the book.

I would definitely recommend this book to 10+ as it can be quite confusing if you are not at the right English level to understand it. I think it is fit for boys and girls and I think if you are interested in quite weird and extraordinary this book is for you. I hope you will read this book and find your next favourite story.
